It began with a simple scribble- a circle, a V, and a semi-circle for the mouth- Smooth’s face. I posted this scribble online, never expecting much, until I received photos from people thousands of kilometres away recreating Smooths face. A reminder of my younger self sketching art I found on YouTube. The idea that someone out there, someone I’ve never met resonates with something I’ve created is the reason I’ve never really stopped. I hope to see Smooth’s face- those three simple lines- scribbled across the world. I feel like those three simple lines have become more than a scribble, but a way for him and her and you and me to connect across any distance.
